설립 배경 (HOW IT STARTED)

ATYA는 2004년 11월 일본 오키나와에서, 서울·오키나와·타이베이·상하이의 축제들이 모여 아시아 어린이·청소년 연극을 세계에 알리고자
ACTA(Asian Children’s Theatre Alliance)라는 이름으로 처음 설립되었다.
2009년, 네트워크의 명칭은 ACTA에서 ATYA(Asian Alliance of Theatre for Young Audiences)로 변경되었다.
어린이와 청소년을 대상으로 한 공연예술축제와 공연장이 회원이다. 현재 한국 아시테지 코리아 여름, 겨울 축제가 의장국이다.
ATYA was first founded in November 2004 in Okinawa, Japan, under the name ACTA
(Asian Children’s Theatre Alliance), by festivals from Seoul, Okinawa, Taipei, and Shanghai, with the aim of promoting Asian theatre for children and young people to the world.
In 2009, the network changed its name from ACTA to ATYA (Asian Alliance of Theatre for Young Audiences).
The ASSITEJ Korea Summer and Winter Festivals currently serve as the Chair Festivals of ATYA.
